Where are OAAS offices located, and what are your hours?
We have locations in both Lincoln Park and the Loop. In Lincoln Park, we are located in SAC 192. Our hours of operation are 9:00-5:30 Monday through Thursday and 9:00-5:00 on Friday. In the Loop, we are located in the DePaul Center, Suite 9500. Our front desk staff can help you determine which advisor best suits your needs.
How do I make an appointment with an OAAS advisor?
It's easy! Just call 773-325-7431 to schedule an appointment. To help the advisor prepare for your visit, we'll need some basic information such as your ID number, what major you’re thinking about and what kind of assistance you need (e.g., help choosing a major, choosing classes, etc.).
How long are appointments?
OAAS appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes.
Which students can meet with an OAAS advisor?
Our advisors will work with all LA&S undeclared or exploratory students. Additionally, we will see students from any college who are exploring a different major or minor outside of their current college.
Does OAAS have walk-in advising?
Yes! During the first week of the term and during registration, OAAS offers walk-in advising on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-in sessions are typically 20 minutes long and address the more immediate concerns you might have. We may offer additional walk-in days as needed.
